With over two decades of expertise in legal, fiduciary, insurance, investment, and banking sectors, Riaan excels in addressing complex tax, estate planning, and fiduciary challenges, both domestically and internationally. His strategic insight and ability to implement efficient, client-focused solutions have established him as a trusted advisor in the field.
Before joining Solus Trust, Riaan held the role of Senior Trust Manager at a leading private bank in the Caribbean. There, he honed his skills in offshore private banking, overseeing a team of Senior Trust Officers tasked with managing a diverse portfolio of global trust and corporate clients. His leadership ensured seamless administration and innovative solutions for intricate financial structures, enhancing client outcomes in a dynamic international environment.
Previously, Riaan spent 15 years as Head of Fiduciary Advice and Fulfilment at a prominent global bank in South Africa. Riaan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and LLB, from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, a Postgraduate Diploma in Tax from Thomas Jefferson Law School in San Diego, USA, and a Business Administration degree from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, South Africa.
